Welcome to Family Papers, a unique and exciting new service that helps family historians locate and own original documents pertaining to their ancestors.

Regardless of who your ancestors may have been; whether famous, infamous or simply one of the many people who struggled to build a better future for subsequent generations, it is very possible they left behind documents pertaining to their lives. And those documents may be available today for you to own!!!

In addition to the significant collections of official records, papers found in various libraries and government institutions around the world, there are hundreds of thousands of documents lying forgotten in drawers or on shelves of antique and paper ephemera dealers, just waiting to be discovered! Family Papers helps you locate and own these precious documents and, most importantly, preserve them for future generations.

Unfortunately, in the past few years there has been a tremendous increase in the number of people, around the world, owning historic documents. Often these documents are collected because of who may have signed the document or as an interesting historic curiosity. Sadly, few people involved in the genealogy hobby are aware this is happening and that documents involving their ancestors may now be part of someone's private collection.

Between January 18, 1997 and February 7, 1997 there were four major auctions featuring vintage documents and letters. In those auctions over 5,300 items were sold. This number doesn't include those historic papers sold privately or through numerous dealer sale catalogs! And because of the growing popularity of collecting original, historic documents, sales of vintage documents are occurring every day!

Are your family's papers being sold and lost forever? Would you like the opportunity to preserve them for future generations? If so, then we think you will be interested in joining Family Papers.
